Capital Area Asset Building Corporation (CAAB) has partnered with Urban Alliance since 2000 to provide our program participants with the opportunity to open matched savings accounts.  UA students can save up to $1,000, matched at a 3:1 ratio, for a total of $4,000 for college expenses.

Urban Alliance is a member of DC Alliance for Youth Advocates, a coalition of youth-serving organizations, youth, and concerned residents formed to ensure that all District of Columbia youth have access to high-quality and affordable developmental opportunities.

Urban Alliance works closely with DC CAP offices to provide our students with the best college planning advice and assistance.  DC CAP offices are located in DC public senior high schools and can offer college research assistance, application guidance, and college tours.

With the Certificate of Employability program, Urban Alliance partners with the following organization to provide work-readiness services to DC public school students.  The partnership is currently completing its pilot year, with services to sophomore students.  The program will continue to expand next year to provide juniors with a work-readiness course, and when they become seniors, they will be enrolled in UA's year-long internship program.

WORC provides essential job training and placement services to our participants.  WORC brings together all workforce stakeholders: public and private not-for-profit organizations representing the employment, education and training community; community-based organizations providing supportive and ancillary services; and employers and corporations. They believe by working together, nonprofit organizations, service providers, and government entities can offer better, more efficient assistance to job seekers in this region.
