Become a
Job Partner
Urban Alliance is a unique
nonprofit which partners with corporations to provide DC youth with paid
internships, adult mentors, and job-training. Urban Alliance (UA) provides
an opportunity for low-income youth to gain the skills necessary to succeed
in the world of work by matching them with corporations requiring
entry-level help and have staff interested in giving back by becoming
mentors.
Last year, along with our 72 job
partners, UA employed 150 high school students. Our vision is to
expand this number to 250 youth —
and we need your help!
Why do we want to expand?
Because employing youth works! 96% of UA students graduate high
school on-time, 8 out of 10
enroll in college, and all students gain long-term work experience
increasing their employability.
A $9,500 tax-deductible donation
will provide:

Work M-Th, 2-5pm beginning in
October, then transition to full-time M-Th in late June.
-

workshops throughout the year including college preparation.
-
